I recently completed this signwritten cut-glass pub mirror for a friend, which features many processes including acid etching, brilliant cut shapes, gold leaf gilding, Signwriting and chemical mirroring. The black shading around the letters is a chemical resistant paint, which is needed to protect the gilding and blue enamel from the caustic effect of the mirror solution.
Labour intensive but a timeless effect is achieved!
